see you soon.

Monday 7 October 2013

You have no idea how much joy gave me developing two new rolls. If I ever looked for something relaxing and enjoyable like that, then I might've just found it. Those two rolls will be a perfect fit for my October posts, so I (and you as well) can take a break from spamming you with Prague all of the time.

First week flew by really fast. It was filled with mulled wine, ice-skating and saying hello (or not saying hello) to people of my year. If that's how autumn could look like to me this year, I certainly would not mind. Reality set in though. And just like that, we're back where we started.

This post was originally about goodbyes. Goodbyes I said to my girls when the summer ended, goodbyes in general. Goodbyes suck. They are not what I should be dwelling upon. Let's just pretend all goodbyes are just "see you soon's".

For this year's 'see you soon' we picked Si Si, brand new coffee house in our town. What a lovely and refreshing place to visit! My city is changing, finally, after all those years. Since I was giving up on coffee, letting my magnesium level go slightly up before the uni stars, I drank mango tea (in fact we both did).

Soon after that, I had a chance to meet and chat with D, who has been a big supporter of this blog since she only found out about it. I couldn't be more thankful. She told me loads about her uni in York, internship in London and voluntary work in Peru, inspiring me not to give up on my dreams of living abroad. She's one of the wisest, most positive and motivated people I have ever encountered. Thank you for reaching out to me, D. Good luck with your final year. I believe in you and trust that the universe will bring about only the best experiences for you! Looking forward to our flea market trips and Diagon Alley walks one day! Hugs and kisses ♥

And for those who decided to scroll down a little bit, a picture of me, with hair the desperately needs an intervention! :)

  3. No matter what never ever give up on your dreams! Especially on those living abroad, traveling meeting new people. It's so good to have at least one friend who is inspiring you to hold a hope inside yourself for fulfilling dreams.

  5. Kasia, do not touch your hair - it's beautiful!
Besides that, this all post made me a bit melancholy, thinking about how autumn always brings some goodbye's and nobody likes goodbye's. D sounds like a truly inspiring person and I hope you'll get to meet again soon!
The interior of the cafe looks fantastic, by the way!

  6. So because I dislike the thought of all the problems we would have to go through to visit each other, all I am going to say Kasia, is see you soon ;)

  13. Hi there, I just wanted to let you know that I absolutely adore your photos! (And what are you talking about, your hair is awesome, and that last picture of you is really gorgeous, there's something about it.) I know it's not the same thing as the analog photography you're doing, but you kind of inspired me to get the pictures from my digital camera (that are on my computer and that i never look at) printed on real photobase paper. and they turned out beautifully, they look so much better than they do on the computer screen! of course they don't have the same wonderfully nostalgic look of your pictures, but still. i'm so happy i did it! keep taking photos, i'm looking forward to the next post xx

    1. Hello Carmen! I am really glad that I inspired you to do such thing. I know that digital can be as much fun as analog. But you know, you can always switch and start taking nostalgic photographs as well. Speaking of which, I'd love to see your shots! Speak soon :)
